Leak detection
The meter moves, or it does not.
That is the first fact. Everything after it is finding which pipe is responsible, and marking it before the wall or the slab is opened.
Free leak inspectionWhat the free inspection includes
We shut the fixtures, watch the meter, and listen. A supply leak keeps the meter turning when the house is quiet. A drain problem does not. That split saves you from paying for the wrong trade on the wrong pipe.
If the meter moves, we isolate. The house valve, the water heater, the irrigation, and the fixture stops come off one at a time until the movement stops or the sound peaks. A listening disc on the plaster tells us the loud joint. Moisture tells us the wet side of the wall. The mark goes on the surface you can see.
Slab leaks are the ones people fear, and they are not every stain. Water follows a joist, a hallway, and gravity. The ceiling spot in the living room can belong to a shower valve one room over. We do not open the stain just because it is the part you noticed.
What it does not include
The free visit does not open drywall, jackhammer a slab, or replace a valve. Those are the repair, priced after the mark is on the wall and you have seen why. If the answer is a five-dollar washer, that is the answer.
We also do not promise a leak we cannot hear or isolate. Some houses have a soft meter and a dry wall because the loss is irrigation, a running toilet, or a water softener. You still leave with that named, not with a hole.
